My wife and I stayed at La Casona Chapala for 10 nights and had a very pleasant experience. The room was exceptionally clean and had a safe, television, and a mini fridge. The walk-in showers in the private bathroom were a plus. The location in the middle of Chapala was great and served as a perfect base for our vacation.

Located in the heart of the historic district, guests can easily find all sorts of things within a few minutes walking. The charming garden adds to the peaceful atmosphere. The continental or fresh cooked breakfast was delicious and rooms are surprisingly quiet.
The hotel sign is pretty small, which may make it difficult for taxis or new visitors to locate the property.

The hotel was a charming, cute and cozy hidden gem, with a great location. It was in a quiet area, but close to the main streets and shops, which was very convenient. The rooms and common areas were extremely clean and had great security. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they provided many little extra amenities, like fresh made breakfast and toiletries. The courtyard was a lovely place to relax in the evening, surrounded by orchids and romantic lighting.
I honestly can't think of anything that I disliked about this hotel. My stay was perfect and stress-free.

The breakfast at La Casona was absolutely delicious, with freshly prepared items made to order. I also loved spending time in the beautifully lit courtyard, surrounded by orchids. Despite being located in the downtown area, the rooms and courtyard were surprisingly peaceful and quiet. The hotel has a charming and cozy atmosphere, making it a delightful place to stay. I will definitely choose to stay here again.
The room was smaller than I had anticipated, but luckily I was allocated a top-floor room away from the common areas. I would not recommend staying on the bottom floor as there may be people sitting right outside your room.
